Privacy Policy

1. Overview
LiteBazi works without an account; signing in is optional. This policy explains what data the Service processes when you plot a chart and when you save cases. Birth data (date, time and place of birth) is sensitive personal information; we process it on a minimization basis: it is used only to compute charts and, at your explicit choice, to save cases — never for marketing. While signed out it is never linked to an account; cases saved while signed in belong to your account (see Section 3).
2. Data We Process
- Birth information (temporary charts): the birth date, time, gender and calendar type you enter are used to compute the chart. They are sent to the charting backend over HTTPS for calculation and are not persisted: we do not store your birth data after the response is returned.
- Birth information (saved cases, opt-in only): when you tick "Save to case library" while plotting, your birth information (including birth place and a snapshot of the charting options) is stored together with the case so the chart can be reproduced when you reopen it. If you do not tick the box, nothing is saved.
- Case content: case name, a snapshot of the four pillars and the save timestamp. Ownership is the creating device while signed out, or your account while signed in (see Section 3).
- Exported content (generated text, copied or downloaded results) is produced from the calculation response in your browser. We never receive a copy when you copy or download it.
3. Device ID, Account and Case Ownership
- Signed out: cases are owned by a random device ID generated locally in your browser (a random ID stored in localStorage, sent with requests). Case lists and details are only accessible to that device ID; returning on the same browser lets you find your cases again. The device ID is never used for marketing, is not linked to any account, and contains nothing that directly identifies you.
- If you clear your browser data — or switch device or browser — the device ID is lost and cases not merged into an account cannot be recovered, and we have no other way to restore them. Please weigh this before clearing browser data, or sign in and merge your cases into your account (see below).
- Signed in: the Service offers optional account sign-in (hosted by the Lite Lake unified authentication service). Cases saved while signed in belong to your account: sign in with the same account on any device to see them, and clearing browser data does not delete them.
- Merging into your account: after signing in, you may merge existing device cases into your account. Once merged, they belong to the account and are no longer visible on the original device after sign-out; sign back in to that account to see them again.
4. Data We Do Not Collect
- Registration is optional — the Service itself never asks for your name, e-mail address or phone number; if you sign in, account credentials are handled by the unified authentication service and the Service never sees your password.
- No payment data — the Service is free.
- No advertising or tracking cookies for cross-site profiling; the first-party session cookie used while signed in only maintains your sign-in state.
5. Analytics
The Service uses privacy-conscious, aggregate analytics (for example Baidu Tongji on the mainland site) to count page views and improve the product. Analytics data is not linked to the birth information you enter or to your cases.
6. Data Security
Traffic is served over HTTPS. When you do not save a case, we do not persist your birth data; saved cases are accessible only via the creating device ID while signed out, and only by your account while signed in.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date above.
